In The last 4 weeks, we have managed to tick these off the list:
we went to see one of my friends from Uni who lives in Leeds, who has a little boy. Whilst I was up there I met up with some other friends too. It was a great weekend and just what we both needed a total change of scenery
Go to the Park, play on the swings
Whilst we were away for the weekend with my friends, we went to the park and bubs had a go of the swings, although I am not sure she liked it very much!
Spend a Day with Daddy
When my partner had a week off work, Bubs spent a day with Daddy and I got to rest. It was great and meant we both had a bit of a change. and Daddy got to see what it is like looking after Bubs all day!
Go to Soft Play
Spend a lazy day in PJ’s watching DVD
I put on Netflicks (well, sort of a DVD) and we watched Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs. Bubs sat with me on the sofa, we were covered in a throw, it was lovely.
Go for a Play Date
We have met up with three different sets of mums and babies for dates out for lunch, to go to a baby and toddler group and just to have a catch up. So I think we have done really well!
We have also done these that were not on the original list….
Gone out for walks to the town and charity shop shopping on Fridays!
I am really enjoying browsing the charity shops and bragging a bargain!
sorting out baby clothes and selling bits and bobs on ebay
I am trying to get rid of all the baby stuff we dont need, and using ebay is a great way to do it!
Met up with some relatives and had a catch up with them
We have had relatives visit from Scotland which was lovely, and I have also spent some time with my Mum and Dad which has been great too.
Have had a baby free night out going to see Mickey Flannagan and also going out for my birthday!
Yes I have had 2 baby free nights, which were both great. But I missed her so much! I have come to the conclusion that going out is overrated.
Been to a baby and toddler group
I ventured to a new group after a Mum at the making moves group asked me along. It was only 50p, and I had a cuppa, and Bubs got to roll about on the floor. I felt so pleased with myself that I had met up with someone new, and that I hadn’t chickened out of it!
Had some professional baby photos taken
We have had some lovely photos taken by a friend, who does professional baby photos. Can’t wait to print them off and put them up!
I have started my dissertation
Something for me: I have started my dissertation, the last thing I need to do to top up my nursing diploma into a degree. It’s going to be tough but I am looking forward to the challenge!
